This week's distance learning assignments can be found on the "work" page. There you will see reading/language arts, math, and social studies activities. We have included links that can help with your scholar's learning.
This week we will be discussing the following....
Reading/Language Arts
This week we will be comparing and contrasting story elements. We will also review adjectives, adverbs, and figurative language.
Compare- we look for what’s similar
Contrast- we look for what is different
Adjectives- a word that says something about a noun or pronoun.
Adverbs- describe a verb, adjective, or another adverb. They tell how, where, when, and to what extent something is done.
Figurative Language (literal and non-literal language)
Mathematics
Last week we learned to measure elapsed time using the “mountains, hills, and rocks” strategy. We will continue to practice this strategy to solve word problems. We will use My Math, Zearn, and Dreambox to support learning this concept. Please watch the instructional video and Strategy video to continue practicing this concept.
*Scholars should practice 7’s times tables this week.
